The Twitter web team has done some improvements to our good old Twitter (maybe not that old…) As Twitter themselves says, the network “has always been about getting a lot in a little”. And with the new changes we get even more – both faster and easier. This is how:
It’s easy to get an overview of your now cleaner timeline stream. If you click on a tweet you’ll get a detail pane on the right side of your timeline that shows more details of the tweet; such as embedded media.
You can see embedded media without leaving Twitter such as YouTube videos, Flickr pictures and live streaming from Ustream and more.
When you click on a tweet, you’ll get up the detail pane with focus on that individual tweet. It also provides you content that are related to the tweet you clicked. Depending on what kind of tweet it is, you can see content such as replies, more tweets from the user and even a map if the tweet was geo-tagged.
You can now click on a username to see a mini-profile including bio and recent tweets. You don’t need to navigate from the page to see user accounts.
Has nothing happened yet to your Twitter account? The new features will roll out worldwide over the next few weeks. Update us with your comments on what you think about the new Twitter when you get the new functions!
