Do you need inspiration for how to use Twitter? The service itself has launched a new sub-site called Twitter Tales. The Twitter sub-site will present to you a growing set of articles that highlights individuals and businesses from all corners of the world that uses Twitter in creative ways.
I think it is a great initiative for Twitter to compile a lot of great Twitter cases and share them with the rest of the world. Everyone can give their input and tell a Twitter tale. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org and tell who you are and share your information.
A tale about community
One of the stories is about Ravi, who travels daily to work in Silicon Valley from San Francisco. He was tired of unpredictable train delays, so he came up with the simple idea to start the Twitter account @Caltrain. Technology equipped riders could send an email from their phone or computer with a 140 character update in their subject line that would be published on the account.
The result was that people started updating each other on delays. Ravi created a community and the profile quickly became an invaluable source of information and now has more than 4,000 followers.
I look forward to seeing the site growing with more articles of innovative, fun and creative ways of using Twitter.
