Goviral Paris, a film production and seeding company has launched a campaign along with a couple of partners, which basically sells the idea, that they can help make viral campaigns. To me it seems like they are stating the obvious, selling an idea that sells a product. If you are a company, you can take their viral test and see how your logo can be used/will look like in the video they’ve made.
My critical opinion is however, that they seem to be undermining the fact that a campaign strategy along with a distribution strategy is not enough to create a viral effect online. It’s up to online communities to create that viral effect, not Goviral Paris.
So, although the French company may be able to create a great campaign message, I doubt that that alone will create the desired viral effect wanted by companies. Companies may want to create a viral film whose message may not be supported by the online community.
Nevertheless, I have to say that the idea to do this is original, and I am curious to see who their customers will be, and how successful they will be. I’m ready to be surprised! ☺
