Kroger Co. in the states (US) has launched a campaign supporting the fight against breast cancer. Now a lot of companies are backing up their reputation by donating money, supporting causes and applying CSR strategies to their existing frameworks. What makes Kroger’s support stand out is that it is a large retailing store, and on sharingcourage.com they tell you how ‘thousands of Kroger associates across the country’ are supporting the fight against breast cancer, and how Kroger is using their own internal network to stimulate and motivate their employees to participate in the cause.
One thing that strikes me as remarkable about this social media campaign is the way they’ve managed to make women with breast cancer interact with people who want to show their support to these women. On the website, Giving hope a hand, you can read stories by women who have had breast cancer, go to the Wall of Hope, read messages by other supporters and leave messages for the women whose stories you can read on the webpage.

I think this is an absolutely fantastic way of showing support to the ones who have suffered from breast cancer and to get a greater understanding of what they have been through. A great way to support them is by spreading the word via Facebook or Twitter by joining their campaign. In any case, I encourage you to check it out and see what it’s all about for yourself :)
