Whether this is art or advertising it is a very inspiring, positive and compelling story. The fact that it seems to be made up doesn’t change that the story has been interesting for a lot of people to watch and participate in. Great example of viral marketing, can’t wait to see who is actually behind it.

Selvfølgelig er det i orden. Spørgsmålet er, om det er smart. Hvem, der kunne stå bag? Det kunne vel være alt fra mono.net til nogle, der vil reklamere for turisme i Danmark.

Jeg så først videoen og tænkte ikke over, at den var fake – syntes, det da egentlig var en meget frisk måde at anvende de nye teknologier på. Men jeg kan ikke rigtig se, hvorfor jeg skulle føle mig snydt. Jeg har jo ingen aktier i hverken kvinden eller barnet, så deeet … ;)

Ærgerligt, at skuespilleren ikke vil udtale sig. Kunne være sjovt at høre hendes version af historien. :)

Personally think this campaign is sick. I really felt for that girl and did my best to spread the word to friends and family. I feel like an idiot now. If I didn’t already live in Denmark, I would certainly not want to visit now.

In this fictional tale the “father” departs in the morning without a second boinking of the lovely “Ditte” . Clearly impossible in the real world.
Where were the heterosexual men when the final script was approved?

p.s. I allready loved your country for “Fitnah” and the republication of THE political cartoon depicting “M” with the bomb in his turban.

p.p.s. It was unfair (lol) to portray islamists (intentional lower case “I”) as terrorists.
They certainly proved that by destroying Western consulates, businesses and products in multiple countries in response to THE cartoon.

Det er da hamrende morsomt, at alverdens medier for gud ved hvilken gang, er blevet taget ved næsen. Videoen var aldrig blevet udbredt, med mindre den havde fået omtale i store landsdækkende aviser. Tydeligt eksempel på den strøm af uvæsentlige udokumenterede nyhedsstrøm, der hele tiden skrives og trykkes.

YOU Mindjumpers a small social media company, making one of the best case studies of the way new media can be used to target millions in a weekend. You are the only ones who stand to gain from this, so by the old Agatha Christie rule. You are the primary suspect.

I think it’s tough to say. One the one hand, it DOES seem like a typical viral video campaign: the circumstances are almost too ridiculous to be credible. On the other hand, as I understand it, Denmark is a (relatively) small and (relatively) cosmopolitan and wired country, so it seem unlikely that someone could pull of this hoax and not get outed immediately–this girl must have friends, acquaintances, etc, even if she’s not a pro actress/model, and if it were fake I think SOMEONE would have said something by now. The question may be put: does truth turn out to be stranger than fiction?

Also, as an ignorant non-Scandinavian, what’s “hugar”(sp)?

I called Poe on this a loooong time ago, so did many others. But the first 50 or so comments calling this fake was ignored in a sea of comments from people who fell for it. It was not till mainstream media picked it up that most comments called it fake.

To be honest, at first I did believe it and thought, surely she must have given this some thought to go on YouTube. Even if she wanted to let the guy know he’s a father, would the father withstand this kind of publicity even if he wanted to?

Clearly it’s a ploy for something. And for all you know, it could be a source like fundamental religionists of any type organizing this (without “Karen” even being aware of it). It is playing on a rollercoaster of people’s emotions and whatever the intent is, it does not have any integrity.

That’s great it’s fake, please change the video description as to say that it is fake.

Plus, anything under 1 million views is not Viral.

Isn’t the internet great, you can falsely advertise and most likely get away with it.

The only thing this video did was prey on people’s feeling and insecurities. The folks at Mind Jumpers are sick and disgusting.

So please, take the video down or change the description to say it is a fake.

@forrest just to clear up things, Mindjumpers do not have anything to do with the “Danish Woman Seeking” we have been writing about it from the beginning, because we thought it were fake, and also because we share your point of view.

I believe that the video is a hoax but I don’t understand how those pictures offer any sort of proof? The girl in the pictures doesn’t look anything like the girl in the video?
