The most influential people of social media are probably the bloggers. They share news, videos, opinions, trends and have lots of devoted readers. A blog can reach a lot of people, but image what 14,000 thousands blogs can do. With Blog Action Day, Change.org found a genius way to use the power of bloggers to create the largest social change event on the web ever.
One day. One issue. Thousands of voices.
Blog Action Day is an annual event that unites bloggers all over the world in posting about the same issue on the same day. The aim is to create awareness and discussions about an issue of global importance and this year the issue is climate change.
So far 1,468 blogs from 92 countries have registered, which means that 8,591,631 readers will read about climate change on October 15th. Mindjumpers will of course also contribute with a blog on the issue, so check out our blog on October 15th and read our post on climate change – and post your own on your blog. Together we can make a difference.
