In our blog post “United Breaks Guitars – Viral Video Settles Argument” on the 15th of July, we described the case of Dave Carrol, a musician who got his guitar broken by the United baggage handling crew. When United did not respond to Dave’s complaints he made a song about it and put it on YouTube, a song which by now almost have been seen by 5 million people. In the above mentioned post you can read more about the outcome of the first chapter for Dave and his complaint.
And now (yesterday) Dave has posted his new song about the issue – it has a much lighter tone but I thought Dave was happy after the short settlement in chapter one, but maybe not. He doesn’t seem to be all happy about United yet, but he opens a window, a crack of being best buddies – all he asks for, is that they “comes to their senses and accepts the consequences” – what that means, I am not totally sure, but it will be interesting to see if United feels the need to respond to the new song, or they will just try to silence it and hope it dies. So far more than 60.000 have seen the new song since yesterday.
Have a look or listen and leave your comment on what you think about this case.
