Are You One of the Dead Virgins?
Companies trying to interact with users of Social Media can learn quite a
bit from the tale of “1001 nights”.
Do you remember how it goes? It’s the story about a freaky Persian King
who would marry virgins and kill them on their wedding night. However, one
very creative girl with the impossible name Scheherazade survived this
strange hobby by starting a story so interesting that the king had to
spare her life to hear the ending.
Now think about all the companies trying to get your attention out there.
How many do you “kill” in a second by ignoring their cry for your mercy?
And what about yourself? How many times have you communicated something
you found very interesting, but failed to awaken the curiosity of your
audience?
At Mindjumpers we think curiosity into every solution. In short that means
asking our selves questions like, “will this make people stop to think for
a second? Would this be something we’d tell our friends? How can we add a
drop of mystery? Is this going to make a difference?”
It’s pretty powerful always keeping in mind that people are curious. And
working with social media means working with people. So try to bring more
curiosity into your work. After all what makes life interesting is the
ability to stay curious. Like small children do when they explore the
world for the first time, touching, tasting and feeling every object
within arms reach.
Explore more and create communication and concepts that allow people to
explore. This way you’ll most likely make it more than 1001 nights in the
amazing tale of Social Media.
You can start by exploring something we’ve created for the bioinnovation company Novozymes – a campaign where the name itself plays on curiosity, I DO WHAT???
