About.me is also a personal analytics dashboard that allows you to see how many views, clicks and links are linked to you. Basically, it lets you see which of your links your audience is clicking to from your page. I love it already: the potential of what it will be like when it’s up and fully functioning like a pro, the simple design, the fact that there is one place you can go to connect with people with all their social profiles on and the fact that it totally rocks.
Help them develop
As it’s still in its beta phase, it’s a bit quirky, there are a few things that aren’t working properly (for example the feed function from twitter, flickr, wordpress/posterous/tumblr etc doesn’t pull in the latest feeds), but you can join the debate and help them develop the platform by contributing with ideas on how to improve. Good stuff made of brilliance.
At the moment about.me is in private beta, but they’re sending out new invites everyday, so do yourself a huge and massive favour, go sign up, and reserve the URL for your name.
Digging it. A lot. Already.
