More and more people as well as organisations use videos and photos to communicate authenticly. Also people are more and more connected online to share their visual memories with each other. The visual sharing company called 23 wishes to make all this easier and now launches a video sharing site globally.
23 Video has already existed for about a year in Denmark and now has 180 video sites hosted at their service. The ones using the 23Video include both startups, agencies, non-profit organisations and global corporations. Today the service will be launched in the rest of the world with launch events in San Francisco, London, Hamburg and Stockholm.
What makes 23 Video unique?
At Mindjumpers we have met up with Gus Murray, Partner Relations Manager at 23 Video, to hear more about what you can do with the service. According to Gus, basically what makes 23 Video stand out compared to Youtube is the fact that you have more control over your content, look and feel. This also means that you can customize your video site so it reflects your visual identity, customize the look of your player, create pages, use your own domain and get access to insights and analytics. ”With 23Video, you can control how you engage and interact with users. You no longer play by others’ rules, but instead you make your own rules”, Gus says.
This means that you can create your own videosite based on 23video with different channels, pages, customizable elements etc. You can also choose to embed single videos to your site or embed your site in WordPress. The API is also available for developers to build upon, so 23Video provides you with all the tools, but leaves all the designing and creative stuff up to you.
We will explain all the different features and functionalities of 23 Video in closer detail once having tried it out a bit more. Until then, check out the different sites that are built on the platform at 23video.com/cases or maybe sign up to try out a free trial.
